The Human Interface Guidelines (HIG) have not been replaced. They have been updated with new icon templates and best practices for adapting your icons to new appearances, as mentioned in the Platforms State of the Union. The guidelines continue to describe components, patterns, and platform considerations, as highlighted in the SwiftUI essentials session.
