At WWDC 2024, Apple introduced several new features for Shortcuts. Here are some of the highlights:
-
Relevant Contexts: You can now specify one or more relevant contexts, such as time of day, AirPods connection, location, and routine. This allows the system to insert shortcuts into the smart stack at just the right time.
-
Handgesture Shortcut: A new modifier called "handgesture shortcut" has been introduced. This modifier can identify a button or toggle as the primary action in your app, widget, or live activity, providing quick, one-handed control.
These updates are part of the broader enhancements coming to watchOS 11, as mentioned in the Platforms State of the Union session.
