In the session titled "Streamline sign-in with passkey upgrades and credential managers" at WWDC 2024, several improvements to AutoFill were introduced. You can now select up to three apps to use with AutoFill, enhancing the functionality of credential managers. Additionally, the credential provider extension mechanism now handles passwords, passkeys, and verification codes, allowing for a more streamlined and secure sign-in experience. These updates are part of the broader improvements to credential managers, which also include the ability to fill time-based verification codes and usernames into any text field.
