API Information from WWDC

Enterprise APIs for visionOS

Apple introduced a collection of six new enterprise APIs for visionOS, designed to unlock new capabilities for enterprise customers. These APIs provide enhanced sensor access and improved platform control, allowing for custom enterprise app development. They require managed entitlements and are intended for proprietary in-house apps or those custom-made for businesses. Key features include:

  • Access to the main camera and improved capture and streaming capabilities.
  • Advanced machine learning capabilities via the Apple Neural Engine.
  • Enhanced object tracking and performance tuning for intensive workloads.

For more details, you can refer to the session Introducing enterprise APIs for visionOS (02:36).

App Store Server APIs for In-App Purchase

The App Store server API allows developers to interact with the App Store server for transaction information and management. It includes endpoints for:

  • Querying transaction history.
  • Managing subscription renewals and refunds.
  • Receiving server notifications for transaction updates.

This API replaces the deprecated verify receipt endpoint and enhances the capabilities for managing in-app purchases. For more information, see the session Explore App Store server APIs for In-App Purchase (04:52).

App Store Connect API

The App Store Connect API now provides data on app engagement, downloads, sales, and usage, making it easier to integrate this data into your own systems. Apple encourages developers to provide feedback through the Apple Developer forums. For more insights, check out the session What’s new in App Store Connect (00:46).
