At WWDC 2024, Apple introduced several updates related to Wi-Fi connectivity and accessory management. One of the key features is the Accessory Setup Kit, which simplifies the process of connecting accessories to your app by combining Bluetooth and Wi-Fi permissions into a single, streamlined flow. This reduces user confusion and enhances privacy by minimizing the number of prompts required for accessory setup.
Additionally, in iOS 18, the "Rotate Wi-Fi Address" feature has been expanded to provide MAC address rotation, enhancing privacy by changing the MAC address approximately every two weeks for networks with this feature enabled. This functionality is also available on macOS.
