Swift Assist was announced at WWDC 2024 as a new feature to enhance coding productivity in Xcode. It is designed to assist with coding tasks, answer questions, and help experiment with new APIs. According to the Platforms State of the Union, Swift Assist is part of the new predictive completions in Xcode 16, and it was mentioned that it would be available later in the year.
