The Foundation Models framework is available on macOS, iOS, iPadOS, and VisionOS, and it runs on-device, meaning it does not require a specific server or cloud infrastructure like "Tahoe" to function. However, the availability of the model depends on the availability of Apple Intelligence on the device. If Apple Intelligence is not supported, enabled, or ready on a given device, the Foundation Model may not be available. Therefore, it is important to check the status of Apple Intelligence on your device to ensure the Foundation Model can be used.
