Yes, there have been some changes related to macOS login as presented at WWDC. One of the notable updates is the introduction of Platform Single Sign-On (SSO) extensions that extend to the macOS login window. This allows users to synchronize local account credentials with an identity provider (IDP). Additionally, identity provider authentication can now unlock FileVault, and login policies can require IDP authentication across the FileVault login window and lock screen.
