Yes, there were several updates related to education presented at WWDC. In the session titled "What’s new in device management," Apple introduced enhancements specifically designed for education. These include:

  1. Multi-App Mode for iPad: This feature allows the use of secondary apps such as notepads, spreadsheets, assistive apps, coding apps, and a new calculator app for iPad. The calculator app can be customized for classrooms and is test-ready for standardized exams with configurations for assessment mode and MDM.

  2. Easy Student Sign-In: Teachers signed into an iPad with their managed Apple account can quickly sign students into their devices. This feature is available with iPadOS 17.4 and macOS 14.4.

  3. Schoolwork 3.0: This update introduces new assessment and scoring workflows, allowing teachers to send assessments by scanning or importing documents. Teachers can score documents and analyze student performance per question, helping to create personalized learning experiences.
