In the "What's new in App Store Connect" sessions from WWDC 2024 and 2025, several new features and improvements were introduced:

  1. Featuring Nominations: A new way to connect with the App Store editorial team by submitting plans for your app's upcoming content and enhancements for consideration to be featured on the App Store. This feature allows developers to share upcoming plans and have them reviewed by the editorial team.

  2. App Analytics Enhancements: Over 100 new metrics have been added to App Analytics in App Store Connect, including new subscriptions and monetization data. This is designed to help developers grow their business on the App Store.

  3. Screenshot and Crash Feedback Automation: Support for webhooks has been added for use with the App Store Connect API, allowing for automation of screenshot and crash feedback from TestFlight.

  4. Build Upload API: Developers can now use the App Store Connect API to upload builds, providing more flexibility for integrating custom workflows. This includes the ability to automate build uploads and handle errors more effectively.

  5. App Store Tags and Discoverability: New features have been introduced to make apps more discoverable, such as App Store tags, custom product pages, and non-subscription offer codes.

  6. Accessibility Nutrition Labels: New labels have been introduced to help inform users if an app meets their needs, enhancing the way apps communicate their accessibility features.

  7. Reduced Screenshot Requirements: The number of required screenshots in App Store Connect has been reduced, now requiring just one set for iPhone and one set for iPad.

  8. App Review Submission Process: Improvements have been made to the App Review Submission process, including new submission items like Apple Hosted Background Assets and Game Center types that can be submitted independently of an app version submission.
