UIKit is not going to "die" anytime soon. In fact, it continues to evolve with new features and improvements. At WWDC 2025, Apple introduced several updates to UIKit, including enhancements for modern patterns, best practices, and deeper interoperability with SwiftUI. For example, iOS 26 requires the adoption of the UI Scene lifecycle, which is a significant architectural change for UIKit apps. Additionally, UIKit now supports new design elements like Liquid Glass, and there are improvements in animations and automatic observation tracking.
